Large Gears
crossroads:gear_base_large

Large Gears/$ are a way of moving <thing><link:intro/rotary>rotary energy/$ around, by connecting to form a system of gears and axles.
Like
<link:rotary/gear_base>small gears/$,
large gears/$ can connect around corners, on the sides, or on axles on the front or back. Unlike
<link:rotary/gear_base>small gears/$,
large gears/$ can't share a blockspace with anything else, and are 3x3 in size instead of 1x1.
Large gears/$ also don't need a solid surface to be supported on.
There are several materials for
large gears/$ (most of the metals) with different <thing><link:intro/rotary>I values/$.
Because of their large radius, a
large gear/$ next to a
<link:rotary/gear_base>small gear/$ will spin at a slower speed than the
<link:rotary/gear_base>small gear/$.

Remember, all gear networks need at least one
<link:rotary/axis>master axis/$ to work.
